At approximately 15:30 on 2009-06-09, the police snatched Peter, Ivy’s son, from the custody of her husband, Bill Walker. They arrived at the restaurant along with Ivy’s parents, and detained Bill and another supporter, Ken, there while they gathered up Peter and his things. Ken was open carrying in a shoulder holster and wearing a Ron Paul shirt, and the cops, paranoid as always, thought that Bill had hired a security detail to protect himself, and threatened to shoot Ken if he made a single move toward his firearm.

Peter was been taken to Kingstown, Rhode Island, in the temporary custody of his grandparents. Bill filed an ex parte motion to intervene as an interested party in the custody dispute on 2009-06-10, which was heard on 2009-06-15, ultimately returning Peter to Ivy’s custody.
